Best Dad Ever

It's been a while since I posted; I've been really busy getting ready for 'crazy November' when I have 6 Markets, 3 of which are 'Twilight' Markets.  It will be very hectic, but lots of fun.  I've been trying to make sure I have lots of Cards for all the different Categories, i.e. Female Birthday, Christmas, Wedding, Baby, Male Birthday.  This Card has been created using my new Stamp Set called "Best Dad Ever".

I've also been creating lots of Gift Boxes and Bags for Christmas, so watch out for my next post.

Inks:  Sahara Sand, Summer Starfruit, Island Indigo, Garden Green, More Mustard
Patterned Paper:  NA

I'm off to create more Male Cards.  Happy Crafting!  Kelly

Gingerbread Man Christmas Card

Today's post is of a Christmas Card I have done for a 'Swap' I have signed up for.  I think this design is about the third I tried and am pretty happy with the result, although I haven't used traditional Christmas Colours which may not appeal to everyone.  But, it is something a bit different.  Sometimes I like to challenge myself to think 'outside the box' as I get too caught up in the 'traditional or usual' thing.  Christmas and Craft have to be one of the best opportunities I think, to do something different.

Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Early Espresso
Inks:  Early Espresso
Patterned Paper:  NA
Stamps:  Scentsational Season, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Punches:  Word Window, Modern Label
Dies:  Scentsational Season
Other:  Dazzling Details, Scalloped Tulle Ribbon Early Espresso, Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder, String from stash

When it comes to Christmas, I usually do a different colour scheme for Christmas although last year, Christmas came around and went too quickly for me to do anything about it; with all my Job and Health issues taking over our lives, it didn't really get the thought I usually like to indulge in.  I'm still pondering colours, although I'm tempted by turquoise and purple and silver, though maybe not together.  I'll keep you posted.  What is your Christmas theme?

Postage Due

There are times when I'd like to send a small note to someone just to say "hi" or "how are you?" and while there are many stamp sets that can be used to such a Card or Note, the 'Postage Due' Stamp Set is just perfect.

I often look at the Stampin' Up! web site for inspiration and to admire the work of the very talented Stampers and I saw a creation by Alyssa Pytlick using this Stamp Set and I was inspired to use it to create this Card.  Perfect to send to a man or a woman.
