Making, Making Cards

A HUGE thank you to all my Market Customers.  2012 was an awesome year for selling my Cards.  As I look into the future, I am thinking of making things even bigger and better and opening an 'Online Store' of some kind with my Cards - it's very exciting.  I so often get asked if I sell Online, so I thought it is high time I joined the 21st Century and did so.  Stay tuned for news.

Of course, having done so many Markets in November and December has resulted in my stock of Cards being dwindled to not very many at all.  I had only 1 Christmas Card left and 1 Baby Girl Card, not to mention Female Birthday Cards and Wedding Cards that always sell well, being very low on stock as well.  So, the rest of December (as well as celebrating Christmas of course LOL) and January is going to have to be making, making Cards!  I love the creative process though, looking through all my goodies and putting together ideas.

This Thank You Card is one of the first I've done since the mad rush and it has come up a treat - I have used lots of retired products, but as with anything craft, I simply do not part with anything!

Cardstock:  Blushing Bride (retired), Whisper White
Inks:  Blushing Bride (retired), Basic Gray
Stamps:  A Word for You (retired), Mixed Bunch, Petite Pairs (retired), Fresh Vintage (retired)
Punches:  Circle, Blossom
Dies:  NA
Patterned Paper:  NA
Other:  Ribbon and Bling from stash

I am taking a break from Markets in January while I replenish my stock and get my Online Store happening, so stay tuned for more details!

Hi Everyone!

This Friday night at my place, Barbara is Hosting a Scrapbooking Workshop.  We are creating a double layout using the lovely bright "Polka Dot Parade" Designer Series paper.  There are 6 gorgeous colours to choose from and it would suit either boy or girl photos.  This is my example.

Happy Crafting, Kelly!

Busy, Busy

Where has all the time gone?  I would like to officially complain to the 'time thief'!  I feel like I have lost a couple of weeks somewhere along the way.  How about you?

I am frantically making Cards for the upcoming three Markets I have.  I have to say it has been sensationally busy at all my Markets, which is fantastic, but of course it means making Cards, Cards Cards.

I also have a Scrapbooking Class I need to do a Layout for, but I have the papers and photos all picked out, so I just need to get to it!  Stay tuned for photos!

I hope the 'time thief' is being kind to you, but I suspect you are all feeling the same.  But oh what fun, Christmas; I just LOVE IT!

Happy Crafting, Kelly!

Best Dad Ever

It's been a while since I posted; I've been really busy getting ready for 'crazy November' when I have 6 Markets, 3 of which are 'Twilight' Markets.  It will be very hectic, but lots of fun.  I've been trying to make sure I have lots of Cards for all the different Categories, i.e. Female Birthday, Christmas, Wedding, Baby, Male Birthday.  This Card has been created using my new Stamp Set called "Best Dad Ever".

I've also been creating lots of Gift Boxes and Bags for Christmas, so watch out for my next post.

Male Birthday Card

I need to create some Male Birthday Cards and I admit, I find it a bit hard sometimes.  The Clockworks Stamp Set though is ideal for Male Cards.  This creation uses a few different colours and I've used the Patterned Party 'Happy Birthday to you' greeting.

Inks:  Sahara Sand, Summer Starfruit, Island Indigo, Garden Green, More Mustard
Patterned Paper:  NA
Stamps:  Patterned Paper, Clockworks

Gingerbread Man Christmas Card

Today's post is of a Christmas Card I have done for a 'Swap' I have signed up for.  I think this design is about the third I tried and am pretty happy with the result, although I haven't used traditional Christmas Colours which may not appeal to everyone.  But, it is something a bit different.  Sometimes I like to challenge myself to think 'outside the box' as I get too caught up in the 'traditional or usual' thing.  Christmas and Craft have to be one of the best opportunities I think, to do something different.

Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Early Espresso
Inks:  Early Espresso
Patterned Paper:  NA
Stamps:  Scentsational Season, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Punches:  Word Window, Modern Label
Dies:  Scentsational Season
Other:  Dazzling Details, Scalloped Tulle Ribbon Early Espresso, Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder, String from stash

When it comes to Christmas, I usually do a different colour scheme for Christmas although last year, Christmas came around and went too quickly for me to do anything about it; with all my Job and Health issues taking over our lives, it didn't really get the thought I usually like to indulge in.  I'm still pondering colours, although I'm tempted by turquoise and purple and silver, though maybe not together.  I'll keep you posted.  What is your Christmas theme?

Postage Due

There are times when I'd like to send a small note to someone just to say "hi" or "how are you?" and while there are many stamp sets that can be used to such a Card or Note, the 'Postage Due' Stamp Set is just perfect.

I often look at the Stampin' Up! web site for inspiration and to admire the work of the very talented Stampers and I saw a creation by Alyssa Pytlick using this Stamp Set and I was inspired to use it to create this Card.  Perfect to send to a man or a woman.

Cardstock:  Marina Mist, Whisper White
Stamps:  Postage Due
Inks:  So Saffron, Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, VersaMark
Patterned Paper:  NA
Dies:  NA

Gift Boxes Galore!!

It comes with the crafting territory that I keep all left over bits of paper, cardboard, empty toilet paper rolles, tape rolls etc.  Then I end up with this huge pile of 'bits and pieces' and think to myself, do I throw them out, or try and use them?  I just can't seem to part with them, so invariably I find different uses for them.

At one of my most recent Markets, I sold quite a few 'Gift Boxes', so my crafting bulb goes off and yesterday I had a very productive day turning bits and pieces into lovely Gift Boxes!

All the above boxes were made using empty double-sided tape rolls - aren't they pretty?  Then of course I get into the gift box mode and use some of Stampin' Up!'s great Dies to create just a few more.

I've also used some of the great new Designer Series Patterned Papers.  But I think I'll stop now as I'm getting a bit carried away!

What inspires you?  Happy Crafting!  Kelly

Workshop Success

I had three Lovely Ladies do a Christmas Workshop with me on Saturday, and of course, they all fell in love with the new Scentsational Season Stamps Set and Dies, in fact, two out of the three have ordered the Bundle!  It is pretty hard to resist.

Thanks Ladies for a really fun day, we created two Cards and six Gift Tags - a very productive and fun day!

I can't wait to see what they create when they receive their bundles.

Thinking of You Card

As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I get to 'virtually' meet many people that share my enthusiasm and passion for crafting.  Often, there are some great inspirational stories that I get to share, and sometimes, some sad ones that touch my heart.  Recently, I read a post about a woman diagnosed with Cancer and another Demonstrator asked if Cards could be created and sent, to give this woman a lift and let her know she is being thought of.

I marvel at some peoples' caring, including Jennifer DiMarco, the Demonstrator who suggested the Cards and want to thank her publicly for her kindness.  I made this Card for her friend, but hope Jennifer also knows she is thought of too, for her generosity and kindness.

Going, Going, Gone!

August is an exciting time of the Stampin’ Up! Year, when the retiring list is released and we have a giant clearance, to make room for lots and lots of new stamps and accessories. The great news is that some items are discounted by up to 75% off!!

To make room for a new set of ‘In Colours, we are also losing a set – Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, Concord Crush and Blushing Bride.  You’ll also notice that lots of inkpads are on the list too – that’s because Stampin’ Up! is introducing a new firm foam inkpad – trust me they are awesome! The standard colours will remain the same, it is just the surface of the inkpad that is changing.

So, check the list here to see if anything you love is disappearing forever – but order it fast, because these items are only available while stocks last! Email me or call me on 0426 822 968 to place your order.

Happy shopping and crafting!
